Part-Time Director of Youth and Young Adult Ministry - (20 hours / week)

Purpose: The purpose of this position is to build relationships with youth and young adults and encourage them to participate fully in the life of the congregation.
Qualifications: The Director of Youth and Young Adult Ministry must have a demonstrated ability to relate well with and encourage youth and young adults, training related to ministry and/or youth related fields and have two years of experience in youth ministry. The incumbent must have the ability and desire to work as part of a team and to assist in providing guidance to volunteers in the implementation of the mission of CCRC. The incumbent must have the ability to relate to people of all ages and have strong communication and organizational skills for planning and organizing the youth and young adult programs. The incumbent must be able to work without daily supervision.
Mandate: The Director of Youth and Young Adult Ministry will develop and strengthen relationships and programs that provide spiritual formation for youth and young adults. The DYYAM will implement council’s vision for youth ministry in the congregation, enabling youth and young adults to participate fully in the life of the congregation (e.g. Communities, service, and worship, etc). The DYYAM will generate youth ministry related ideas in collaboration with pastoral staff and volunteers. Where appropriate the DYYAM will use an intergenerational approach to ministry.
