Learning and Dialogue

Following our mission to grow together in relationship with God, each other, and our community, this series is designed to foster informed, respectful, and faithful engagement to grow in our understanding and care for LGBTQ+ individuals within and beyond our church community.

Each session will build on the previous one. See below to watch the recordings from our previous sessions.

Upcoming session:
Thursday, October 23 at 7:30-9:00 pm

Many of you who have attended the sessions are feeling stirred to take steps to better love our queer community. Our session on October 23 will have guest speakers John and Carol Vanderstoep, and we will begin to tackle taking practical steps.  If you have not been able to attend the sessions, we strongly encourage you to take time to watch the recordings and connect about the third session.  Before we do any meaningful work, it's important to come to the table having engaged in listening and learning.

Faith, Identity, and Belonging: A Dialogue of Lived Experience
Session 3: Stories from individuals with lived experience in both the Queer and Christian communities

Thank you to those of you who took the time to come out and listen well to the stories of Queer Christians in our community. It was a deeply impactful evening. If you were not able to make it, we may provide an opportunity for a viewing session in the fall.  You may also reach out to the church office (office@ccrc.on.ca) to discuss options for other ways you can view the recording.  At this time, the recording will not be posted publicly.
